OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Consistently provides Customer Service to company standard and lead team.
* The lead associate will step in when the supervisor/keyholder is not present
* Keep merchandise filled to appropriate levels on the sales floor.
* Ensure the store is visually distinctive and appearance impeccably maintained.
* Minimize shortages through proper loss prevention procedures.
* Demonstrates awareness of store sales plans and results.
* Demonstrates awareness of individual contribution to business results.
* Follow all operational policies and procedures.
* Manage time and prioritize tasks.
* Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Customer Service Excellence
* Generates maximum sales potential in accordance with the Perry Ellis customer service standards.
* Builds repeat customer base through excellent PE Loyalty Program data capture.
* Maintains strong knowledge regarding product, promotions, and special events in order to communicate to customers more effective selling.
* Consistently foster a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members in a fair and consistent manner.
* Effectively maintains floor coverage; acknowledges every customer; treats customers with priority over assigned tasks.
* Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication.
* Manages time and prioritizes tasks.
People Responsibility:
* Represents Perry Ellis image through personal and professional appearance.
* Demonstrates professional image and conduct
* Must be flexible to work rotating hours, as assigned by management.
* Communicates concerns to management.
* Assist in developing Sales Associates.
* Maintains respect of peer group, staff and supervisor
* Creates energy and excitement around shared goals and values and acts with integrity.
* Support all company/management initiatives and decisions.
* Adapts to the needs of the position, undertaking night shifts, weekends and holidays.
* Steps in as acting supervisor as needed.
Operational Responsibilities:
* Adheres to policies and procedures.
* Observes the sales floor and stockroom for loss prevention and advises management of any unusual internal and external activities.
* Executes opening and closing procedures directed by management to ensure the store is always ready for business.
* Operates all register transactions including that of management.
* Authorized to reconcile all media when requested.
Visual Brand & Product Management
* Ensures consistent and accurate replenishment of product onto the sales floor.
* Comply with visual presentation standards.
* Executes markdowns and re-merchandise , as needed.
* Maintains store organization and general cleanliness.
Requirements
* Energetic and positive attitude
* 1-2 years of retail experience
* Flexible availability; reliable transportation
* Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
* Customer service-oriented. (outgoing, friendly, and personable with a positive attitude
* Must be able to move and/or lift to 25 pounds
* High school degree
