Assistant Store Manager- Hudson Yards

SUMMARY
The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Store Manager to learn all aspects of running a store. As a member of the Management Team, the Assistant Manager provides leadership by setting clear expectations and holding the team, and self, accountable for providing exceptional customer service, achieving sales goals and visual presentation standards. The Assistant Manager works with the Store Manager in providing guidance, direction, and development to the team in achieving all goals; while maintaining professional relationships with peers, executives, and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing exceptional sales and customer service
  • Acts as an advocate for the team and Brand
  • Is adaptable and flexible to change
  • Coaches and develops team members, creating an environment where our associates can be successful
  • Provide direct support to the Store Management by assisting with maintaining daily operations and operating procedures, as well as shipping/receiving and use
  • Exceed monthly sales goals on a consistent basis, establish weekly sales plan and selling strategies
  • Advise clients about the best fit of pieces according to their needs
  • Assist in the maintenance of all inventory in the stockroom and on the selling floor
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures

Requirements and Qualifications*

  • REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a luxury retail environment (preferably in a managerial or leadership role).
  • Capability to move objects (up to 50 lbs.) while working on the selling floor and backroom
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including morning, mid, evening and weekend shifts as business dictates
