We are looking for an Assistant Manager to help organize and run our retail stores to fill in for the Store Manager when needed. Assistant Managers ensure the sales team meets its goals of efficiency and customer satisfaction.The responsibility vary from; hiring, training sales associates, monitoring inventory and ordering merchandise based on demand .
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist the Retail Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
* Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
* Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best
* Coach and support new and existing Sales Associates
* Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs
* Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning
* Handle complaints from customers
* Stays involved with every aspect of the store(e.g., merchandising, visual display, stocking); “rolls up his/her sleeves” to get things done”.
* Managed effectively throughout others; delegates appropriately(e.g., willing to transfer responsibility,proactively follows up to ensure proper execution).
* Effectively coaches others to improve their performance(e.g., offers suggestions, devotes time);communicates on a consistent basis.
* Clearly communicates expectations regarding performance standards.
* Enforces performance standards; addresses others performance issues in a timely and effective manner
REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to perform effective selling techniques.
* Strong verbal and written skills
* Ability to lift 30Ibs merchandise onto the stockroom shelving which may require use of a ladder or step stool
* Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
* Customer service oriented. (outgoing, friendly, and personable with positive attitude .
* The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
